Speck gets a new Toy (sort of)

So we decided to get Speck a playyard so that we could keep from toys being all the house, and this way she would be safe if left unattended for a few moments. She loves her yard and we love her “IN” it.
Speck can now sit/stand herself up

So apparently Daddy knew of this already but Speck has now been able to go from laying down to sitting up all by herself. In addition she also can go from sitting to standing with help from objects around her. For eg. her leapfrog learning table or the sides of her crib. She’s been discovered standing in her crib a number of times now. Oh Mobility here we come 
Speck has a couple of firsts

Speck had her first trip to Babies R Us today. Yes, yes we know mommy has practically lived at the store since before Speck was born, but speck wasn’t ready to go. Today was the Day. We got new toys, books, and a few other things we needed.
Speck also had her first ride in her stroller today. It’s a really nice stroller but Speck looked so small in it. Pics to follow.
Speck stands in her pack and play

During one of those “stay here lemme go get something from the kitchen moments” we discovered that Speck can now pull herself into a standing position with the help of the sides of her pack and play. I know she did it once in her crib but I had written that off as a fluke. Apparenty I underestimated the child. She seems anxious to be mobile. Darn it, they grow up way too fast.
Speck turns 7 Months old

OMG, we just brought her home YESTERDAY, and now she’s already 7 months old. I personally think they grow up way too fast.
