An inside glimpse to family madness…
An inside glimpse to family madness…

Well, she’s done it again. Surpised us in ways we thought we couldn’t be surprised. Speck actually used the M word. Now we are pretty sure she does not associate the M word with any particular person as of yet, but hey the utterance itself is a start. We are awfully proud.
She’s going to be “mummmming” her way into her 7th month. We are so PROUD.
Although Grandma Nargis heard it earlier during a diaper change, the official recorded time of the utterance will be during dinner, while seated in her exersaucer, around 6:30.

On New Year’s Eve Daddy, Mommy, Grandma and Lil Speck all went to TLC for dinner. As always we had Speck in her car seat which is where she likes to be during busy and noisy nights out. But tonite Speck had other plans. We finally made the decision to have her sit in a High Chair. Mommy, of course wipped the one the kind waitress brought for us down and sat Speck in it. Speck thoroughly enjoyed her new found freedom and VIEW of the world. She shrieked in excitement and joy and even posed for pics.

Speck had her 6 month well checkup today.
Dr. Barry said she is looking awesome. She is in the 50th percentile for her weight and height (length). Dr. Barry said Speck is growing right along her growth curve and looks to be a very happy, content and so far well adjusted baby. Speck is right on target with all her developmental milestones. Sitting, smiling, laughing, giggling, crusing, rolling over etc etc.
Speck also got her 6 month shots along with her first Flu shot.
Mommy was happy to report that Speck has now successfully tried, tested and enjoyed the following fruits and veggies – Bananas, Pears, Apples, Carrots & Sweet Potatoes. We have yet to try Peas. Any day now.

Half a year has passed since we were blessed with the Speck. It’s been an exciting 6 months, with many more months and years to follow. With 6 months comes big achievements. Okie well mommy thinks they are big steps for her little Speck.
