Teething Update

Speck now has a total of 8 visible teeth (upper and lower central incisors, upper lateral incisors and upper first molars) with 2 more on the way (lower lateral incisors).

Of late her favorite foods are Croutons (garlic flavored YUMMY!!), Cheetos of course, Goldfish, Pretzels… you get the idea. She loves anything she can gnaw on. And of course as expected she loves sharing her food with Pepper and Tweeter.

Speck’s first piece of ART

Speck draws her first piece of ART. This is the first time she ever used anything that resembled a pen. I thought she did pretty well, but my opinion is biased of course. HEHE!!!

Speck turns 15 months old

Oh my how time flies. We are still in awe of Speck. Watching her take in the world around her has been one of the most facinating things I have ever seen. She is such a loving child, and she’s also very vocal. She’s got tons of distinguishable new sounds already and she is doing very well at communicating with all of us. I am sure there are tons of kids who are very advanced, but I have only heard or read of them. I get to watch Speck learn things day in and day out.

We went to see Doc Barry today for Speck’s 15 month checkup and got some good results. Speck is in the 15th percentile for her weight and the 65th percentile for her height. So far it’s looking like skinny girl with a slighty above average height, but time will tell if this is true. She’s hitting all her milestones, and Doc Barry is very happy with her progress.

YAY!!! Speck!!!

And we call her SUPER TWIT!!!!

Yes you are completely correct…. That is a diaper on her head.

Speck eats Puris with Nana & Uncle Drew

Speck went over to her Nana’s house to eat Aloo Puri* today. Nana even made some miniature puris* especially for Speck. We were quite impressed that she enjoyed them thoroughly.

Eating Puris in my Nana’s kitchen.

A puri or poori is a South Asian unleavened bread primarily found in Northern India made from a dough of atta (whole grain durum wheat flour), water and salt by rolling it out into discs of approximately the size of palm and deep frying it in ghee or vegetable oil. Traditionally served in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka, also being served in……more here.

Lunch Outing

Speck met up with her buddies Kai & MJ at Sandy’s Food Market for Chantal’s Birthday Celebrations :)

Aren’t they all adorable :) (well Speck looks cuter when she doesn’t have her mouth wide open)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHANTAL!!!!
