Where did the time go?!?! SO much has happened and changed. She’s been a handful but worth every minute (okie most of them). She’s grown into this little person that is such fun to hang out with and do stuff with. I wish 2 didn’t have to be over, but 3 is a whole new chapter. So here’s to my little ANGEL!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DARLING SPECK!!! Thanks for being mommy’s baby and giving me 3 great years
Here’s to many more to come.

So I was brushing her teeth this evening after her bath and VOILA her top two year molars are coming out. Maybe that explains the recent crankiness ? She hasn’t been sleeping very well for the past few days and I didn’t even think about the teeth coming in. But they ARE!!! Woohoo!! my baby is growing up too quickly
Someone make it stop.

So it took a lot out of me to make the decision to transition Speck from her crib to her toddler bed. Well so far my worries have been unfounded. Yesterday Daddy removed the front rail of her crib and well the transition was set to start. We took our bath and then laid in bed while we read a story and talked about how she is a big girl now and that it’s time to sleep like a big girl. I put her to bed at 8:30pm and when I went to check on her around 10:30 she was curled up in the recliner/rocker in her room. I left everything as it was and came downstairs. Later a friend reminded me that the whole point of the transition was to make sure she slept in bed. So I went back upstairs at 11:00 pm and moved her from the chair to her bed. No crying, no drama, no noise. She slept in quite late (9:30am). I had to actually wake her and when I walked into her room, she was still in her bed. I took a few pictures because I assumed no one would believe me.

We realize that Speck is pretty much on par with where she needs to be developmentally. But I am still shocked at how she’s come from being that blob in her glider. heh. Time flies when you are having fun
So here’s a little bit of a morning conversation I had with Speck. Isn’t she just adorable. She’s finally learned her Please and Thank You AND How to say YES!!! She started off saying yah, which was completely unacceptable so after about 2 weeks of consistently correcting her, she’s finally got it. See for yourself
